OneVillage Partners Social Media
When I started with OneVillage Partners in July 2012, the only social media they engaged in was Facebook. They had a page with approximately 70 followers, but did not post regularly and did not have any set plan for the things they posted. One of the first things I did when starting was to develop a social media strategy which focused on engagement, regular updates, and audience building. I also advocate posting Fun Facts, Mende Language Lessons, Photos, Video, Project Updates, Village Stories, and Blog Updates. Since 2012 there has been over a 200% growth in OVP's audience on Facebook alone. With more people following OVP on a daily basis.
I also created a Twitter for the organization to engage with other nonprofits engaging in rural development and working in Africa to foster partnerships. I also created a Flickr page to encourage travelers with OneVillage Partners to share their photos and create a community.
OneVillage Partners Facebook can be found here and our Twitter here.

This post alone generated 26 stories from supporters and 17 likes. Over 500 people who were not followers of OVP at the time saw this posting through their friends.
