Give to the Max Day
OneVillage Partners made their Give to the Max Day debut in 2012. I led the efforts for the day creating all the e-communication for potential donors. Since OVP is a small nonprofit, we did not have the resources to have fancy corporate sponsorships or matching grants. We didn't even have the funding to create interactive video campaigns or on location events like many other places. All I had at my disposal was an e-mail list and our social media.
We promoted the day on our social media and sent all supporters an e-mail three week prior to let them know GTMD was coming up, what it was, and what we would like them to do. I also sent out an e-mail the night before and halfway through the day. Thank you notes and an e-mail to update and thank supporters were sent out the following Monday.
At the end of Give to the Max Day, OVP supporters had raised $5,000 to support rural villagers in Sierra Leone.

This e-mail was sent on October 25th to remind supporter that Give the the Max Day was coming up.

This e-mail was sent the day before Give to the Max Day to once again encourage and remind supporters.

This e-mail was sent partway through the day on November 15th to again encourage participation. 19 people who received this message clicked through to OneVillage Partner's donation page for Give to the Max Day.

No fundraising campaign is complete without thanking your supporters. This e-mail was sent out the Monday following Give to the Max Day to let supporters know just how successful the campaign had been as well as thank them for their generosity.
