Ghirardelli vs. Hershey's Chocolate - April 2010

The main goal of this project was to analyze how two competing companies utilize interactive communications campaigns, with a strong emphasis on social media. We chose two companies occupying different niches in the market in order to take a broader look at how positioning effects a company's social media use as well.

Ultimately we found that both competitors severely underutilized interactive communication. As a result, we offered several suggestions for improvement tailored to each company's specific niche that will not only improve sales figures, but also foster a more positive and accessible brand image.
